What is the qualification for IAS

Pub: March 12, 2023

What is the qualification for IAS?  Honesty, integrity, and the willingness to go beyond the call of duty are the qualifications for a good IAS Officer. The Civil Service Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission tests a candidate on these qualities.

To appear for this test, a person must hold a graduate degree.

Your marks would not be a disqualification for getting into the service, hence your academic performance in your college or school would not be a disqualification if you have obtained 50%.

Qualification criteria are one thing. Clearing the examination is another. To clear the Civil Service Examination, a candidate must have good knowledge of history, geography, polity, economy, environment, science and technology, and other subjects specified in the UPSC syllabus.

This is where the role of a coaching center comes in. A good coaching center ensures the syllabus is completed in a holistic manner. Such that a layman with no background in these subjects could comprehend them.

The Prelims Cum Mains (PCM) Program of iLearn IAS covers all your preparation needs. The classroom lectures, mentorship program, and test series are designed to impart a learning experience that ensures maximum outcomes.

Hence, for you to qualify for the Examination, the actual requirement is to become an iLearn IAS PCM student and rigorously follow the program.
